I have a bunch of toothpaste to get rid of?!

Question: Most have been opened and used once or twice. Should I throw the open ones away and just donate the unopened ones? Or is it ok to donate the used ones too? Thanks

Bacteria gets into the open ones so really you shouldn't even use them after 30 days. Toss the. You can however donate the unopened ones and they will be appreciated, think battered women's shelter, red cross, any homeless shelter, etc.

just save them till halloween and give them away as candy! lol

Throw away the used ones! Donate the unopened.

You can't donate the opened ones. No one will take them. Just toss them. Nice thought, though.

Throw away the used ones, that's gross just thinking about receiving opened toothpaste and for the unopened one's you could always send it to the soldiers in Iraq. : )

Toss the used ones

why r u throwing it away! You can use toothpaste beyond the sell by date! The only reason it has an expiration date is because its classified under food and drug. Otherwise, the flouride does not weaken or lose it's effectiveness.

The only reasons to get rid of it is: don't like the taste, fell into the toilet, you are allergic. or dog licked the container.

otherwise, you can still use it.

Heating at 50C for 1 hour will destroy harmful bacteria. Then you can keep the used tubes for your own use, or label them: "Not for use by humans" and donate them to be used as household cleansers.
