Can you die if you go to the Dentist to get a job done????!

Question: Not usually. In the Chicago area, there was a story about a young child that died while having dental work done. I think it was the gas-type anesthesia that did it. If you are having local anesthesia, then you should be fine and in no danger of dying.

There is always risk involved with being put under (general anesthesia). If you ever need to be "put under" then it is advisable to confirm that the anesthetist is an experienced doctor that specializes in that field.

haha no. unless they are a killer

You can die just by walking down the street. It's unlikely, but anything is possible.

Rarely.

There have been a few instances when someone had a reaction or developed arterial inflammation because the dentist was not sterile and somehow introduced bacteria into the blood stream.

I think the odds are about one to ten million.

There are two realms. That of possibility and that of probability. Anything is possible, and many things probable. Is it possible for you to die at the Dentist? Yes. Is it probable? Well, you haven't given any other information. Do you suspect you will have a heart attack? What is your family history? Do you react badly to anesthetics? More info is needed.

One dentist used silk sutures in a patient that was allergic to silk. She lived, but only because a competent doctor gave antibiotics for the infection that followed the reaction.

It's highly unlikely. The biggest risk would be if they are numbing you with something that had epinephrine in it and you have a heart condition. That can send your heart into cardiac arrest.
