Will my teeth fall out?!

Question: hi i do see a dentist twice a year and have never had any probs, not even a filling! but! my dentist always warns me that they are 2 red...my gums!
i must admit i'm not always very good at cleaning them at night, i often forget, but always do in the morning! recently my gums have gone right down and bleed at an instant and also, some of the bottoms ones click out of place when i play my clarinet! are they going to fall out? i could'nt bear it if they did!

What has developed due to your lack of flossing and skipping over the brushing occasionally is the early onset of gingivitis. You can reverse this by keeping the teeth and gums clean by flossing at bedtime and brushing thoroughly and correctly at least twice a day, but especially at bedtime. During sleep is when most of the bacteria develop and run rampant in your mouth causing havoc to your teeth and tissue, since there is less production of saliva that normally washes the oral cavity through out the day. Leaving bits and pieces of food and built up plaque is just asking for gingivitis and decay to develop. You should also make sure to brush the roof of your mouth, cheeks, any other tissue and don't forget your tongue, reaching as far back as you can without gagging. The back of the tongue is where a great majority of the bacteria is harbored. You will need to get your self on track and make good oral hygiene a habit, or you will continue having red, swollen and bleeding gums, bad breath, loose teeth, bone loss and the eventual early loss of teeth. Listen to your dentist and follow his advice or you will end up with more than gingivitis; gingivitis is the precursor or the beginning of the onset of periodontal disease, which is the major cause of loss of teeth due to the damage this disease causes to the ligaments, tissue and bone structure.

first of all, i need to know your age, and if you are a teenager still, you DO have a chance of getting it out. meaning they CAN fall out. But if your gums are normal, which in this case it doesn't seem so normal. (no offence) your teeth shouldn't fall out. But since your gums may be weaker, your teeth can fall out, because your gums can't hold your teeth in place. Go consult a professional and find out.
And take some X-rays and see how big your tooth-roots are. the longer and thicker the roots, the less chance of them falling out.

hope that helped... atleast a bit =]

PS: NEVER forget to brush teeth 3 times adaY!

Sounds like you have a severe case of gingivitis which is treatable. Start brushing two to three times a day, floss and it doesn't hurt to use Listerine. Listerine has been proven to treat gingivitis.
