Get rid of the gauze~ it's purpose is to act like a band-aid until the bleeding stops.

Soft foods, like pasta, applesauce, mashed potatoes, etc... can be eaten. Try to stay away from spicy foods, though.

You'll be just fine!

:)

My brother got wisdom tooth extraction and he took a lot of rest cuz he had the (put-to-sleep thing). He couldn't eat normal food, so pudding, soup, mac and cheese (not really sure). Just eat soft foods. Things you can't chew. I don't think you should leave the gauze in.

No! don't leave the gauze in while eating. Keep the gauze in to stop the bleeding and when it's stopped, take it out, eat, swish with salt water and it should be good after that.

Swishing with salt water is a good way to speed the healing process, do that after you eat so food doesn't get in it.

take that gauze out.. that is gross.. you are not suppose to leave it in that long. i had a tooth extracted a week ago, and it is only suppose to stay in the same day.. not for 24 hours..

You should be able to take the gauze out 10 minutes after an extraction. Its only to but pressure on the area for a few minutes to stop bleeding and encourage the clot to form. Keep rinsing with warm salty water a few times a day for the next week and you'll be fine. And you can eat normally.
