How soon after you get your wisdom teeth removed can you eat normally?!

Question: I got mine pulled 5 days ago today, and I am doing great! Slight discomfort every once and a while, and the swelling is almost gone, but I want to chew some food! I could probably do it now, but I am terrified, and don't want to mess anything up since I am healing wonderfully. Should I wait until my stiches dissolve just to be safe?

My son was told to just wait until the stitches are gone before eating solid food as you may get food into the hole and a dry socket will happen. Food in there will cause much pain. He ate softer foods,(pasta, mashed potatoes, anything soft). It is a minor inconvenience to avoid any problems.

I had a tooth removed as well. but the advise i give you is. chew food. Just not on the side that the tooth got pulled. and until all the swelling has gone down i advise you not to eat anything hard on that side. also anything hard even a year after as mine has will hurt if it gets positioned right!

about eight hours. but in between time eat something soft.

In five days I would bet you are almost 100% You have to eat!

EAT NOW

You are ok to eat now. Just be sure to clean the extraction sites really well after you eat and you will be fine!

just be careful not to get any food in the hole i did and i got dry socket its the worst thing u could imagine i was out of work for a week and a half becuase of it just make sure you cleanse the hole very well and make sure everything is out of it

Alot of times when people have their wisdoms removed they lose their intelligence, but only for a few days....so dont worry...it'll come back.....
