My gums are coming over my teeth...Can I somehow stop this?!

Question: I have had braces for 2 years now and I am getting them off in a month...But for the past 6 month i have noticed that my gums have been coming down and covering my teeth...all except my first two teeth...This looks bad and it makes it hard to brush my teeth also. What should I do to make my gums stop taking over my teeth?

sounds like you need to be flossing better. Your gums are probably puffy with bacteria. It's a pain to floss with braces but you just have to!!! Use threader floss (crest glide is a good brand...the floss is stiff at one end so you can thread it through your teeth above your brackets. Good luck :)

see your dentist.

talk to your parents and see if they will call the dentist, if they do then just do what they say!
