Triclosan is an active ingredient of antibacterial soap and toothpaste.Why being used when it is hazardous?
Triclosan will affect the functions of endocrine glands ,e.g. thyroid gland,it is also considered as a pesticide according to my readings.It will also kill helpful bacteria.

It has potential to be hazerdous when ingested. You don't ingest soap, and you shouldn't ingest toothpaste.
