Whitening Strips and Permanent Retainer?

I'm just wondering if it is safe to use something like Crest White Strips on a permanent retainer? Is it going to eat away the glue or corrode the metal?

This shouldn't be a problem. The strips are on the front of the teeth and will not likely cover over the back where the wire lies. Even if it does the metal or cement should remain unaffected. Consider having your teeth cleaned before you use them though as buildup (stain, tartar, plaque) that is present will make it more difficult for them to work effectively! Good luck-
