Question: Why does my sensitivity toothpaste say to stop use after 4 weeks? If its unsafe to use any longer than that, why or how is it unsafe?

It's perfectly safe to continue using beyond 4 weeks. As a matter of fact, some people don't even feel the desensitizing effects until the second month of use. The reason they recommend 4 weeks is because if your teeth are still sensitive after that amount of time, they want you to visit your dentist. (who will most likely tell you to continue using it)
