What hurts worse?!

Question: getting your wisdom teeth taken out or having a root canal?

Answers: getting your wisdom teeth taken out or having a root canal?

neither really, as you don't feel it being done. It takes longer to recover from the wisdom teeth, especially if you have stitches. I would say the trick is to take some pain meds BEFORE the numbing wares off, if you stay on top of the pain meds for a day or two, it should be ok whatever you have done.

I had both done I would have to say the root canal

Removing wisdom teeth.

I had all of wisdom teeth pulled and it didn't hurt at all. My mouth was numbed up and I got pumped full of drugs that put me on the verge of consciousness. Afterwords I was taken to a recovery room? Of course I was starved and was offered some soup. The soup had to be temperature of the corona of the sun, but since I was still numbed up I didn't know. Once the pain meds wore off, the only pain I felt was from the burn I got from the soup to the roof of my mouth. It hurt bad, I mean it boiled the skin off of the roof of my mouth!.

Definitely the wisdom tooth removal. Had 2 done at separate times, and then had 2 at once it was awful! Maybe it was because it was 2 weeks after having one removed and maybe I was not eating well so I was run down. When I had the root canal I thought what is the big deal with this it was like nothing. Then it failed and I needed an Apicoectomy, a procedure going into the roots above the tooth, to get to the roots, that was really worse than all combined!

i've had wisdom teeth pulled and it sucked but it wasn't to bad. i've never had a root canal so i can't say
