This is actually a very good question. When the remaining bonding needs to be removed from the teeth, it is important that in grinding off the material, that enamel is not removed. There is a different texture and color to the bonding compared to enamel. I keep the area dry and the bonding will have a frosted appearance and is porous. Just like when your teeth are scaled and tartar removed, we can feel the difference in a material that is not tooth substance.
