Any tips to help keep my teeth white?!

Question: There are three types of teeth whitening products available for home use. These are brush-on whiteners, whitening strips, and trays filled with bleaching gels.

Brush on whiteners

It looks like a bottle of white out fluid, and it kind of is only for your teeth. You take the applicator, brush on the solution and let it dry and then sit on your teeth, usually overnight. If it seems a little haphazard, it is. Liquids don't dry easily in your mouth and they don't stay on your teeth very well. Despite a person's best efforts it is far too easy to rub off some of the fluid with tongue or lips. The result is splotches instead of even whitening. The brush-on whiteners are a shortcut with poor quality.

Whitening strips

These are plastic strips with bleaching solution on one side, similar to transparent tape. You take the strips and stick them across your teeth. The problem with these is it is very hard if not impossible to get the strips onto ever part of the teeth. Teeth are not flat even though the strips are. So, the bleaching solution is unevenly applied and the crevices between teeth don't get whitened. That looks bad.

Trays with bleaching gel

This is the same basic process as dentists have used for years. The gel applies the bleaching solution evenly, even in crevices between teeth and the trays keep it in constant contact with the teeth. Not the easiest method as you have to keep the trays in your mouth for a long time, but it is by far the most effective.

apparently brush with bicarb soda...not sure how effective it is though lol - not really keen on trying it either.

dont drink colored drinks, or if you really want to drink with a straw making sure the drink doesnt touch your teath

you can try crest whitening strips, but when i used them, they kinda hurt my teeth.

Brush your teeth twice.....

Brush them first with baking soda to whiten them.....it's salty so don't swallow any. After you give them a good brushing, re-brush using your favourite toothpaste.
You might get answers from people to use hydrogen peroxide but that really isn't good for your teeth.....it changes the pH of your teeth and can make them extremely sensitive to hot and cold.
A $2 box of baking soda will last you for months and is as effective, if not moreso than any of the commercial bleaching products.

teeth whitening through you dentist works well. it's not very expensive and you can do it at home.

um no coffee or smoking and don't have food coloring from sweets or drinks.

Yes i agree Baking Soda is the best for keeping your teeth white. Also there is a really great fluoride free toothpaste that is all natural and uses natural whitening polishers like bamboo powder. it tastes great and is not expensive. it is called Jason Sea Fresh Sea sourced toothpaste. I added a link but you can get it in the organic section of most grocery stores.

The whitestrips work, and you can rinse with fluoride if you have some sensitivity afterward.

Avoid coffee, tea, smoking, food coloring, chocolate to keep your teeth white. However, nothing works as well as good hygiene! Brush & floss twice a day :-)

try whitening strip from Colgate

Although you can try all the whitening strips available on the market, the best, most cost-efficient way of long-term whitening is Phillips Sonicare toothbrush. The initial price might be hefty, but compare to paying $30+ for each box of strips, it saves you more money. And it's the best overall toothbrush on the market. I haven't had a cavity after brushing with it in 2 years. And of course, stay away from coffee and cola drinks.

Big NO & NO on coffee and try not to be a sweet tooth.
