Should I see a Dentist or a Doctor????

I am a 25 yr old female, I have only one wisdom tooth that came in last year. I am having pain in my mouth, in the upper left side, lower left side, and my jaw. Behind my wisdom tooth. I went to a dentist and he didnt even really "look" and see what the problem was. I have been having this pain for about a week now, and it isnt getting any better. it hurts to eat, smile, talk, and open my mouth. I went to walmart and bought one of those small circle mirrors for your teeth and I looked and I have like a gash behind my wisdom tooth. I didnt eat anything to do that and I would have known it if it did so lol.... but has anyone had a problem like this and do You think I should go to another dentist or doctor?

well he should have taken an xray of the tooth were the pain was..and he would have seen that it was the wisdom tooth..even what we call in the dental feild a panaramic x ray, an x ray we take to give to a dentist or an oral surgeon so they can remove your wisdom tooth...i advise you to go to a dentist...another dentist...who willl take this x ray and treat you accordingly...or just pain treat your problem...just get you out of pain...nobody deserves to deal with that kind of pain:( sounds like you need a better dentist that can take care of you..
