Best time to fit denturer?!

Best time to fit denturer?

I am getting conflicting advise between the first dentist and an other second opinion. Is it best to fit the dentures immediatley following the teeth extraction or to wait 4 to 6 weeks and fit the dentures to healed gums?

it doesn't really make a big difference its just that the denture will be lying on open wounds if its fitted straight away. it depends on which teeth have to be extracted. if the teeth being extracted are the only ones you have left to chew and bite, your dentist will probably remove the teeth and fit your denture as you can't be waiting weeks without any teeth. I'm working as a dental nurse so i see this thing most days. it's up to yourself in the end.
