What exactly do they do for people who have dry sockets?!
Question: I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled on the 18th, and I am not in any pain or anything, but I was just wondering what do they do if you have dry sockets? Also, how do you know you have them? I heard you have to be in excruiting pain, and have pus? Like I said, I have none of this, but I heard it's terrible, and just want more information on it.

A dry socket is a failure to form a blood clot which starts the healing process. Instead for some reason, the clot is lost and a blank, dry hole of bone and tissue remains. An infection sets in and this is extremely painful. They clean out the area, often stimulating bleeding again. They usually put some type of soothing stimulant such as oil of cloves and pack it with a fake clot like material to help the body begin to heal. They also many times give antibiotics.
You can put oil of cloves into the areas yourself, but it will burn like hell, and you still may need antibiotics.
yes my dear it is extremely painful.i have had several. the pain is much like a toothache but where a toothache subsides this pain does not.you have to return to the dentist and they numb it,clean it with some type of solution then re pack the extraction site,one of the worst painful experiences you can go through.oh, by the way ...can i see your `boobies`?
If u get it you will know it. Do not smoke while you are healing. If you do smoke...
Consider yourself lucky as it hurts like hell, I had one that left a hole into my sinus cavity and they had to scape down the upper jaw bone so the gum could be re stitched, lots of fun that was.
well idk either but if that happens then you should get checked id recemend go see a doctor so you can know about it and ho to catch it
