I am about to get my braces off what is the difference between clear retainers or the regualar metal ones???
1. how do they feel
2 maintenence

clear ones suck. they don't look clear and it looks like you have crap in your teeth. the metal ones feel weirder but are much better. I just got out of my second set of braces and i got a metal one and loved it so much more. As for the maintenance, they are about the same, just soak it in some warm water and Efferdent. and make sure u wear them often. there r soooo many people that had to go back into braces because there teeth shifted. retainers are the easiest part of braces. and finally, don't eat with them in or drink. it doesn't work :)!!!!
