Should I wait to have a crown if I'm getting braces?!

Question:

Should I wait to have a crown if I'm getting braces?

I am currently disappointed with the appearance and shape of my crown (color doesn't match my other teeth/it is slightly protruding). I am also considering getting braces. I do not want to wait 2 yrs to get another crown because that means I would have to endure another 2 yrs of having the protruding/brighter crown. Should I have my teeth whitened and get a crown that matches the rest of my teeth, and then proceed with getting braces? Again, I don't want to wait 2 yrs with the brighter/obvious-looking crown.

Answers:

Actually your dentist will decide that for you as they know what order to do things in that are best for you. I would think fixing the crown before braces but I ain't a dentist.
