within the next 3 days. try to stay with foods that dont require any chewing. i had this too it's a huge pain in the butt. stick with foods like jello, smoothies (that pink V8 type is great, helps relieve some pressure on ur teeth too) soups etc. Also you might try lightly biting onto something soft, but don't let your teeth come in contact, for some reason that really hurts. Also you might try taking tylenol / advil or some other pain reliever. Doesn't always work though.
It goes away in a couple days. If you take some advil or something that should help.

OMG!! Poor u!! U jus got into a world of pain. Try taking some motrine or Tylenol . Make sure u don take 2 much. read the back of the bottle. The pain if u take nuttin will go away with in 2 days!

Get used to it. It should go away after a couple of days, but now every month when you get a new wire put in or get your current wire tightened, they are going to hurt for a few days.
Eat lots of soup!

UGH! I feel your pain... I got my braces on 1 week ago today. The pain isn't tottaly gone but I can eat crunchier foods now. So I think within the first 2 weeks you will get your teeth strenght back but try to takew some Tylonal or some other pain reliver at least once a day. Good Luck!!!
Yea it will take 3-4 days for the pain to go away! in the mean time eat ice cream and cold soda! anything cold will make your teeth feel better! o and just a heads up every time that you go into the ortho. and they do something big to your teeth (Like change wires or add a bracket) it will hurt a a bit, So take advil!

i have braces and i'm gonna be honest they hurt when you get them tightened lol but after 3 or so days they get better. just take motrin and advil around the clock and you'll be ok. what i hate is the rubber bands lol random i know
I know it'll go away eventually. If it doesn't just go to the dentist. Will you put on additional details so you can tell me what colors you got????
Tylenol helps!! haha trust me. i got braces like 4 months ago. the soreness goes away in like a week but when you go back every month to get them tightened.. they hurt again for a couple of days to a week. i just got them tightened monday... they still hurt like helll
they hurt for awile after u get them tightend but thats all
It should go away. i just got them too! :D i got sky blue and they look quite alright. try sky blue or baby blue.
i've got soreness. My sister told me ( she had braces before also) it'll go away 2-3 days . And by 1 week or so, you can probably eat normally.
Couple of days
It goes away in a couple of hours....don't worry about it. I had braces 2 years ago. Everyone tries to be cool with gum and be like, "yeah, it won't mess my braces up"
but one of my brackets popped up and hurt my teeth! and I had to wait until the next day to get it off. Be careful :)
