are you getting braces AFTER your expander??

cause usually the expander will create more space so then the teeth can move in (its usually done instead of doing extractions)

i got an expander for about 5 months and then it was taken off, and then now i have braces to straighten my teeth up.

ya they do cuase your mouth needs more space for your exspander.
