You pay for the cost of packaging and advertising among other things. As a general rule (though not always), the more well-known the brand name, the more the more expensive the product. The quality of the product has little, if anything to do with it. It's more supply and demand. The greater the demand, the more they can get away with charging for it.
It is the quality and the brand that is selling it. Some contain lots of sugar.
