My 13 year old son has just had a removable brace fitted. he is finding eating with it in impossible also?
talking is proving difficult. has any one any tips. he wants to give up.but i am sure it will get easier.

my daughter had a removable brace with a top plasitc part, she couldn't eat with it and found it difficult to speak clearly.
She ended up taking it out to eat and then replacing it afterwards.
We asked our dentist about this, he said that her brace would still work, but that it would work faster if she ate with the brace in.
She decided to take it out to eat and it took about 4 months longer to work then anticipated by the dentist. But it still worked.
The talking with it in will get easier, it takes a couple of weeks.
