Question: could somebody please help me i have tried a heating pad, motrin aleve and tea bags in my mouth oragel but nothing is helping i have a denist apt. wed dont know if i can take the pain that long please help me

Tooth ache is usually caused by an infection. You will probably need antibiotics and an xray so the dentist can work out the exact problem. Until then try a salt rinse. dissolve 1 TEASPOON of salt into a cup of WARM water. then take a mouth ful and tip your head on to the side that the tooth aches and hold it there for about 10 seconds. DO NOT swill the rinse in your mouth or gargle it. Do this three times a day. Remember to be careful not to swallow the rinse too much salt is not good., please dont continue this for a lengthy amount of time and make sure you keep hydrated.
This should help to draw the infection. clove oil is also good for pain please read the label first as it is astringent!
Get some Ora-Jel it works pretty good. It will help you while you wait...or better yet...call your dentist monday and tell them you're having quit a bit of pain, and ask if your dentist could prescribe something for your pain.
if it is bothering you that much, then you have two choices:
go to the emergency room and get some pain meds (they will not extract a tooth in the ER without you having swelling)
or
wait until monday and call your dentist ASAP and tell them how much pain you're in.

oh, and orajel is for gum pain, it won't do squat for toothpain!
GO TO THE DENTIST!
