Tooth ace, what good for pain?
i have a bad infection in my tooth thats causing my gum to swell and hurt real bad. I went to the dentist and he gave me codiede and meds for the infection, but its still hurt. Any ideas?

That is some of the worst pain and without prescription narcotics you are sunk until thos eantibiotics start to kill the infection.
I would call your dentist back and get a prescription for pain meds. If it has been a couple days, make an emergency appointment to see him/her because the antibiotics should start working after taking them for 24 hours.
If you cannot get a prescription take some Motrin, but that will not likely help much on its own.
