I'm getting braced twice and live in Orange County California. If you go really cheap, they be about $2000-2500. You go high end, you can get it for $3900+.
I can tell by experience that if your teeth is really bad spend a little more. If your teeth problems are very minor go cheap if you need to. I think that when you go very cheap say $2000, they cut corners to save money therefore leaving not so great results. On the other hand if you go high end $3900+, they can offer better service, better results, and higher end appliances.
Also remember, that there is other separate fees such as mandatory cleaning/dental exam every six months and extraction if needed for treatment. And always get more than one consultation, I'm sure Orthodontist have different opinions on which treatment plan works bests.
One more thing, do not get treatment advice from General Dentist about braces, they'll give you wrong facts.

It depends. They could be anywhere from 2000 to 4000. you can go to an orthodontist and get a quote.
They're around $3000. Some orthodontists will let you be on a monthly payment plan, that's what we did, so you don't have to have the whole amount at once, although you still have to come up with a down payment to get started.
With Western Dental it costs from $2000 to $3500 and they let you make the smallest payments you can afford. I find they work with everyone if you have a job and credit.

Well im 14 and got braces 4 months ago. They cost my parents $4000, but I have many problems that are being treated and taken care of. Most of the time though they are between $3000 and $3500. What you should do is make an appointment with an ortho that you might go to see how much it will cost and just search around and go to different places. Find one that you like and one that has a good price. Also make sure you are getting just what needs to be done not a whole bunch of extra junk that will hurt you and your bank account.
