How do you tell if a lip ring is infected?
i peirced my lip two days ago and it's slightly purple and barely swollen, how do i tell if it gets infected?
Answers:
If it gets red and pus-filled then you have a problem.
If you did it yourself it probably is infected unless you were EXTRA careful to disinfect the needle, ring, and your lip before you pierced it.
Clean it out a TON and use peroxide or rubbing alcohol to fight off bacteria to get rid of the infection or to stop one from starting. And make sure you clean it as many times as the piercer recommended, and not to take it out for at least a couple months.
