What's the procedure of having a filling on your tooth?!

Question: well first they take this rubber type of "cloth" called a 'raincoat' and it has a hole or two in it, and they fit it over some of your teeth (so that the area where you are getting the cavity filled stays dry)
then theylll probably use a needle..just try to stay calm, it really isnt that bad!
then form there..i dont really know what else they do because i cant see it of course..they basically fill it and set it with this little gun thing (this doesnt hurt AT ALL)
for me it takes 20 mins or less...
i rmemeber when i was young and the first time i had a cavity, i was really scared but it isnt that bad.
theres a little bit of pain form the needle (depends how sensitive you are) and it feels awkward (but its always awkward being at the dentist) and it doesnt take as long as a cleaning
youll be fine!!

Drill out the decay.
Replace with resin composite. Cure the resin with UV light.

Don't use a dentist that uses metal fillings (amalgam), it contains mercury--this procedure is banned in several countries, and is not recommended by the World Health Organization. Mercury is a poison.

Normally they numb you up, let that take affect. Drill out all decay, apply some cleaner, rinse, dry, apply some bond (glue), let that set up and fill it with some type of filling material and then sometimes apply a light to harden the fill. They usually then smooth it to match your bite and sometimes put a sealant material around the edges of the fill.

hey..they normally give you a shot to numb the tooth.then use a drill to get rid of the decay following which they do the filling.the filling procedure varies depending on the type of filling.if its a tooth coloured filleing then it normally involves introducing the material in parts and using a light gun to help it set.otherwise they'll just mix up some cement and use that to fill the tooth...the procedure can take anywhere between 15 mins and 45 mins depending on how deep your decay is.
