Do you wet your toothpaste before you brush your teeth?!

Question: I cant handle the taste of toothpaste without water on it. what about you?

I agree completely, Kenny A. I wet the brush, put toothpaste on it, then wet it gain.

I used to as a child but discovered it's better not to. I wet the brush to ensure it's clean and has some moisture, then I apply the toothpaste and brush. It can reduce the effectiveness of the toothpaste if you soften it and make it too wet.

no but i ALWAYS have to wet my toothbrush first.. dunno why..

Yes, most of the time.

I put the toothpaste on the brush, run it under water, and then brush my teeth. My whole family wets the toothbrush before they put toothpaste on it. I know people who don't wet it at all.

I wet my toothbrush and then put toothpaste on it. To me it doesn't matter. All toothpaste tastes nasty to me.

Yep. It has a weird sticky texture if I don't.
In response to an earlier answer: how do you ruin the effectiveness by getting it wet. That's what happens in your mouth. Saliva tends to get things wet.

If you wet your brush (like I do) and you put the brush in your mouth (like we all do)...then its getting wet any way. I can't imagine that little splash under the water would somehow render your toothpaste ineffective. So I say...do what you like. Wet it, or don't. It's all the same.

I, personally, wet it. I use the kind with mouthwash in it and I find if I have a little more water then I can swish it around before rinsing. Its like using actual mouthwash.

Yes I do.

yea ...i do its just better dat way
