Bump on my gum?!

Bump on my gum?

there is a bump on my gum just above my tooth. i went to the dentist, but she said there is no abscess or anything wrong with the tooth. it stings and feels weird & uncomfortable. what could this be?

Is the bump red like the tissue or white or clear?? Sometimes we get clear bumps called mucoceles on the gum or cheek. They are just clogged salivary ducts. These go away quickly. You can even pop them. If your dentist took an xray and saw nothing, then most likely the sore is nothing to worry about.
