As a dentist myself, i highly recommend that if your toothache is this severe that you might want to consider a trip to your local ER or try finding a dentist with an emergency number. A severe toothache is a possible sign of an infection beginning and if not treated these can become very serious. If you do have a infection you will need to be placed on antibiotic therapy and need the tooth taken care of as soon as possible (IE: root canal or extraction). Good luck and please see someone soon. Until then try taking Motrin (Ibuprofen), this will help control pain and help with inflammation...you may also want to try using a very cold compress as this will help numb the gums, but NEVER use hot as this can cause a possible infection to worsen and spread.
