How do you remove tartar buildup without going to a dentist?
I just went to the dentist and I have buildup bad enough that he didn't want to go thru with cleaning my teeth. I want to try and get rid of some without going back and spending more money that I don't have. HELP!

First of all YUCK! I'm not sure how anyone can even have that much tartar buildup.... but what I do to keep my teeth clean and healthy is floss 2-3 times a day (floss is inexpensive) and I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day with an electric toothbrush... I have very healthy teeth and gums... and I see the dentist every 6 months for a check-up... sorry but seeing a dentist is a must if you want to keep your mouth healthy...
