Help! My twelve year old molars are really hurting!!!!?

My twelve year old molars are just coming through now and they are so sore. How can I numb them????

I have already been to the dentist but hot salty water didn't do much

bonjela from the pharmacy, but hot salty water helps also, chewing something like gum will hurt but make it get better faster.i see this every day.
