Question: Can anybody be a candidate for invisalign? Does invisalign treat severe cases? It says it can treat overbites. In what type of case is invisalign not effective? Who is eligible for invisalign? I would like detailed information about invisalign and if invisalign works for every person.

No if your teeth is severly misaligned you might not be a good candidate for invisaligh. The best way to find out is to talk to your dentist.

Invisalign is for people whos teeth are in the shape of a U but somewhat not correctly aligned.
However, if ones teeth are completely out of line and out of the U shape then metal braces would be needed.
I don't know where you heard it can treat overbites because usually it takes regular metal braces with rubber bands to fix the bite.
