I wear invisalign ONLY at night. anyone else done this and if so any problems?!

Question:

I wear invisalign ONLY at night. anyone else done this and if so any problems?

I have had no problems yet but still only on tray 4. My trays get changed every 14 days but even with wearing them less than 8 hours a day 5-6 days a week they seem to move great. (instead of the recommended no less than 21 hours a day 7 days a week) i wonder if invsalign makes you wear them all the time just to cover their own base so if your teeth don't move right it is not because of the trays not being in enough.
anyone else do this or know about it?

The reason I do it this way (as was asked by the first answerer) is not at all because of the pain/discomfort while wearing the trays, but because I speak infront of an audience at work and I have had a hard time speaking loudly without a lisp. So once I take out my trays in the morning, they're out until after dinner. If I started experiencing problems with doing it this way I was going to start doing it correctly, but so far I have had no problems and was wondering if anyone else has done their treatment this way and it worked for them. If by the end of my treatment I have had no problems with it I am going to tell my dentist about it but not until I am completely done so I can show her it worked (assuming it does work and I don't have to wear them more often).
Thanks.

You are potentially opening up a can of worms for yourself. Invisalign is designed to be used for the 21 hours you mentioned. Although you are only on tray 4, I presume there are many trays to come. What can potentially happen is that your future trays will have problems fitting, and the dentist/orthodontist will need to take new impressions and create more trays for you to accomodate for the lack of change. It equates to a longer period of time for your overall treatment, and more fees for your dentist and the Invisalign laboratories.
