it takes a while to get used to. in a little while you will learn how to talk without the lisp and your mouth will adjust to it. it wont be noticeable from just looking at the outside of your mouth anymore, and it will be a lot easier to deal with. just make sure you wear it as much as you're supposed to. if you dont you'll have to wear it a lot longer.

Sorry, you are just going to have to get used to it. I know, it sucks but it gets a LOT better after about a month. And who cares about those idiots, they are just bored idiots. :)

Wow, that happened to mee.

Just live with it, i did.

ignore those stupid ppl.

Believe it or not, you will be able to talk fine with it in a few days if you just persevere. Remember how hard it was at first to get used to your braces? This will be way easier for you. Try practicing speaking, being aware of your tongue placement. Your tongue will adjust to the retainer being there.

Also, your teeth are just getting used to having the retainer. It has been custom made for you. However, any slight differences in how it fits today will modify over the next few days. Right now there is a slight gap at the roof of your mouth and you can feel that you are biting on the wires at the back. The retainer will settle in better, the wires settle between your teeth, and that gap won't be there at the roof of your mouth.

In fact, it will become so easy for you to wear that one day you will start looking around for it and forget that you already had it in! I promise.
