Hi,
Firstly there are a few types of sedation eg, intravenous, inhalation, in my surgery it was mostly done intravenously, the drugs that are used are similar to date rape drugs like rohypnol which mean you will still be conscious but you will feel really tired or drunk! the drugs also cause amnesia so you won't remember getting the treatment done or what it felt like. You will probably be given a jag on the back of your hand and you will feel really relaxed, then you will be given the local anaesthetic, and once that takes affect your treatment will be carried out. Remember that you will need to have someone stay with you after sedation as you could switch the cooker on and forget you done it because of the meds!, best thing is to go home to bed afterwards, please dont worry, you'll be fine x
