Tiny black dot on tooth?!
Question: I have a very small black dot on the outside of one of my teeth. It doesn't brush off or scratch off with my fingernail and I don't know what it is. I went to the dentist less than a month ago and they said that my teeth were perfect, and I brush, floss, mouthwash 2x a day every day and I don't eat much sugar, so I don't know how it could be a cavity but that's my worry.
I don't know what it is though, it's about the size of the dot you'd make with a fine-tip pen, and it's on the side of one of my teeth.
Anybody know what it is?

My friend had a cavity that started exactly the same way. Call your dentist to see if you could let him have a quick look at it.
first, a black dot just food that wont get off of your teeth. i knowyou cant scratch it off its because its so small that its just stuck. get a tooth pick and pluck it out.
no cavatie or disease on your teeth are black. unless it hurts if you touch it
just pick it off with a tooth pick
