The cost of invisalign varies due to many factors, such as your orthodontist, length of treatment, number of aligners used and other factors (again, depending on your orthodontist.)
Personally, if I had been a candidate for invisalign, my orthodontist would have charged me the same amount for them as for classic metal braces. Unfortunately, my case did not qualify for invisalign.
If you have orthodontic coverage on your insurance (most US insurance covers for children under the age of 19, but there are more and more out there starting to add adult coverage!) they will generally apply the same amount of coverage to Invisalign as they would for traditional braces, so keep that in mind if you're lucky to have coverage.
I purchased a dental plan through Costco for $89/year which split my orthodontic bill in half. (I am 29). So if you need coverage and have a Costco in your area, the cost of the costco membership and the insurance premium is well made up for in the orthodontic discount!
