A dental question?!

Question:

A dental question?

Has any one ever had oral implants? Does it hurt? Is it painful? How is the after feeling?

Answers:

I have one as well. You're numb when the dentist (usually an oral surgeon or a periodontist) places the implant into your bone.. the same/next day you may feel uncomfortable, but no major pain. Then you wait for a period of six months or so to see if your body accepts the implant and not reject it. If all is well, a healing cap is placed over the implant and a crown is then made by your general dentist.

Implants are not covered by dental or medical insurance, and they can be quite expensive, but in the long run well worth it!

Good Luck!
