Is my extracted tooth's socket healing properly?!

Question: Here goes. I got my lower left wisdom tooth (#17, I believe) extracted 2 days ago. This was the first tooth I have ever had pulled, so I was pretty worried.. and still am. I'm pretty sure it was a fairly normal procedure, I didn't get put to sleep and he didn't have to cut my gums or bone to my knowledge. Anyways, I'm not exactly sure if the healing process is going as it should. The pain is very minimal, if any, even without a painkiller (I'm not very vulnerable to pain). When I look at the socket, there appears to be a clot, but around it the flesh looks yellowish-white, almost like pus forming. Is that normal of a healing tooth socket? I've done everything within my power to follow care directions, including salt water rinses, no spitting/smoking, etc. Any info would be appreciated.

Your tooth socket is healing perfectly , The yellowish white thing you noticed is an indication of normal healing.Contnue rinse warm saline water for one more week. If antibiotic prescribed complete the course. If you feel untolerable pain visit your dentist

this is perfectly normal.as long as you dont touch it

ALL IS GOING WELL, AND THIS IS NORMAL HEALING.
IN A FEW MORE DAYS YOU'LL HARDLY BE AWARE THAT A TOOTH WAS EVER EXTRACTED.

You should have been given a syringe to keep the area clean, if not this is the case you should go back to the dentist and ask for one or go to a drugstore and pick one up. This will flush the area better than rinsing alone. I hope you waiting at least 48 hrs before you started to rinse? If you are getting any swelling, discharge, bad taste or symptoms are not getting better than you should go back to your dentist for a re-eval.
