ask a dentist

Once they have receeded you cant, but to prevent further damage dont brush so hard and change to a softer toothbrush

Use a soft toothbrush. However you will need to see your dentist as skin from the roof of your mouth can be 'moved' to replace gums that have receded. It's the best method because you can't get gums to grow back, only replace the tissue. It's somewhat involved but it does work. I had a friend several years ago that had that exact same problem and in a few weeks he was fixed. But you must use a soft toothbrush and don't apply a lot of pressure. See your dentist now before you loose your teeth.

Brush, floss and see your dentist for treatment of periodontal disease.

I got told I was causing erosion - By too much brushing!
I only do it morning and night as I was instructed when I was a kid.
Now I just use a mouthwash and a wet toothbrush at night.
My partner just does hers once in the morning, and kinda chews her brush - and has wonderful teeth and gums.
So, get a softer brush, brush once a day, and stay off your gums seems to be it.

I don't think you can stop it. It happens to me a lot.
I think the gums are rejecting the teeth.

Once your gum reseed that's it,i tried every thing what all the so called experts said to do but to no avail.
In the end my teeth, which were perfect, had to be removed
because the became so loose i couldn't chew food,so now
i`m left with a mouth full of plastic.

You can't I'm afraid!

u have to have gingival scalig and root planing... sure by the dentist in the clinic............
and don't stop btushing ur teeth and gum... but stop brushing it the wrong way..............................

You can't stop recession, you may need gum treatment, and remeber to floss daily.

Don't brush them too hard!

BRUSH GENTLY USING A SOFT TOOTHBRUSH. THE GUMS CAN BE GENTLY BRUSHED W/O ILL EFFECTS.
GUM RECESSION IS USUALLY DUE TO BRUSHING TOO FORCEFULLY WITH A TOOTHBRUSH THAT'S TOO FIRM.

You cant. Once they start recceeding they wont grow back.

NO! You are supposed to brush your teeth.

You need to brush gently and floss every night gently. Place the toothbrush on your teeth and angled towards the gum line and do not press with much pressure. It is a gentle process.
