Bite plate?!

Bite plate?

I have a bite plate AND braces... can anyone tell me how to deal with them? they hurt REALLY REALLY bad and i have to have them for a month or maybe more. can i take them out when i eat?

so I've had terrible experiences with these things but you seem to have an advantage by being able to take it out

When I first got my braces on (about a year and 1/2 ago) I too had the pleasure of getting one on.
It hurt like you said and felt like I had an extra set of teeth but this goes away in like 2 days or less
Since my brother never wore his removable one they decided to give me one i couldn't take out so I didnt really have a choice.
For eating it was so discusting and stuff would like get stuck in it so if I were you I would take it out but REMEMBER TO PUT IT BACK IN or your have it on for longer than you thought.
The worst part of the whole thing was I had this lisp that they said would go away but didnt until around the time I was about to get it off

I'm sorry this isn't very positive and the only thing that I can think of that will make you feel better is that my teeth look so so so much better no and I'm getting my actual braces off within 6 months
