It's been about 4 days with wisdom teeth have question?!

Question: Can I eat semi solid food, tonight I'm making my way through KD I put in the food processessor, getting tired of liquids ect.

I have dissolving stiches what does that mean exactly what can expect from them...

Do I have to worry about dry socket, and loosing a blood clot if I have stiches?

In the past two mornings, when I rinse with salt water, It looks like there is a small amount of blood kinda blobbed together... what is that all about?

Any other suggestions on food choices, so far I've been eating soups, meal replacments, and mashed potatoes, and yogurt.. oh and yah oatmeal... help

I too had my 2 upper wisdom teeth removed on Friday (4 days ago). There has been very little pain! Here has been my diet thus far:

Mashed Potatoes *yummmmm*
Milkshakes
Jello - Sugar Free
Jello 100 calorie Pudding Snack Cups
Ice Cream with whipped cream
Applesauce
Apple Juice
Soup (broth based - Campbell's Soup at Hand works great!)
Macaroni & Cheese (overcooked)
Corned Beef Hash
Creamy Peanut Butter (straight from the jar, on a spoon)

I'm DYING to get back to real, solid food... spaghetti & meatballs, pizza, & hot, chewy, cheesy subs (from pizza shops). Hopefully that will be soon! :-)

First off, you wont get dry socket if you keep drinking liquids. Water and juice. i had the dissolving stitches and i dont really know what they did. but i felt ok and ate some bread and pasta the day after. so if you feel up to it, it wont affect it too much now by eating solids. you should be fine at this point. it didnt hurt to eat solids either.

It's up to you on what you want to heat. It all depends on what you think you can handle. I had liquids for a whole 7 days. The stitches will go away on there own. I think that it is supposed to dissolve in 2-5 days. Maybe you could try a milk shake or a smoothie.
