2 weeks ago my dormant tooth abscess swelled up the size of a golf ball was incr!
Question: and made me feel quite ill, my dentist gave me double dose of antibiotics and sent me away until the swelling sudsided, went back yesterday and had the tooth removed which was excruiciating cos apparently you cant numb the abscess area. Extremely sore today but why do I feel like I got flu and so little energy, is it the pus from the abscess now entering my body? Im fed up of feeling this ill its been going on for 2 weeks since the abscess swelled up.

you poor girl sarah! an abscess is never dormant they can arrive back at any time, your dentist should have taken out the root of the abcess a long time ago then you wouldnt have had a bad couple of weeks, drink plenty of liquid, try to sleep as much as possible and in a day or too you will feel much better

Altough te tooth is gone, your body is still fighting the infection which is why you are feeling ill.
If the swelling has gone down it means the infection is starting to subside, so you should start feeling better soon hopefully!
