Name of procedure?!
Question: A tooth has been lost,lower front.Other than an implant,is there a procedure that can replace the tooth?Also,had a root canal started,tooth was left hollow and ended up shattered and broken off at the gum line,how can this be fixed?

For the tooth that is lost, the best choice is an implant if the other damaged tooth is going to be OK. At best, the tooth broken off at the gumline will need a root canal, post and core, and crown. If this tooth is very weak, the dentist may suggest a bridge, which is two crowns with a pontic (false tooth) fused in between. A bridge provides more support for weak or damaged teeth.
Implant for lost tooth and crown maybe for shattered tooth if there still is a root and enough tooth to grind down?
