Are braces cheaper the second time around?!

Question: I had brace's when I was younger and as many kid's did I didn't wear my retainer as often as I should have, as soon as I left for school, it came off. I also belive my treatment with the retainer's should have lasted longer as I was only told to wear them for 2 year's. So now I'm stuck with no-so-perfect front teeth. My wisdom teeth came in fine later on and the teeth in the back are perfect.

My front two teeth seem to slant to the left, with one that poke's out a little farther than the other making them appear a little crossed. My fist four bottom teeth have also shifted.

So my question is, with having had brace's before if I choose to have them again, is there a chance they could be cheaper than the first time around?

Also do you have any tip's on saving money on brace's? A good ortho plan?

Thank's to those who answer!

The fee for braces is based on time, difficulty and materials. So it is possible for the fee to be lower since even though you have had orthodontic relapse, you won't be starting at square one.

Yes, you learned the lesson the hard way, that retainers are for life!

Truthfully, I have no clue.
I'm 15, and I had braces once, but I'm told I shall be wearing retainers for the next who knows how many years.

My guess is, however, that it will cost the same.
Did you ask your dentist about your wisdom teeth? They may have came in straight, and it may appear that they came in perfectly fine, but that might not be the case.

My wisdom teeth had came in when I was in 7th grade, and my ortho had told me they were coming in fine, but they wanted them to be removed because they could possibly cause my mouth to become over-crowded, which would ruin the straight structure. I had my wisdom teeth removed, but I haven't attempted to not wear my retainers for longer than two weeks.

The only reason I stopped wearing them that one time was because my dog had chewed the top though. :) I suggest asking an ortho around, to see what the pricing would be, and ask the possible reason for the exact shifting of your teeth. He or she should be willing to answer.
