Wisdom tooth help..Pushing up against my mouth and my mouth feels bruised?!

Question: It's hard to explain but i'll try.

My wisdom tooth has been coming out for a while and now its only just causing me grief. It's poking out the sides and back (bigger than other teeth) and is pushing up against the back and side of my mouth.

It feels bruised from where its rubbing. Is this normal.

I just really feel like crying because I have to get it pulled out and I'm scared. And it can't be done for maybe more than three weeks. (and its going to cost me a lot)

Will three weeks make much of a difference?

It could as far as being in discomfort. Try to keep the area really clean and that will help with the inflammation of the tissue. Try using Ibuprofen (which is an anti-inflammatory) and heat packs until you get in to help with the pain. Mostly likely its the tissue that is causing the discomfort. Also, try some salt water rinses. If things get too bad, call your dentist and see if they can prescribe you a pain medication until you can get in. Good luck

I got my wisdom teeth taken out when I was 17. I was scared to death. It was not bad at all. They were all super friendly and explained everything to me. I used orajel for a few weeks on the sensitive areas bc it hurt like heck. I had all 4 of mine taken out at one time, and they all hurt before they were removed. Im glad I had them removed and its not a terrible process. After its all done and over with you will be glad you did. good luck to you.

Gargle a mixture of salt and warm water or gargle a shot of whiskey or rum for curbing pain due to teething "wisdom teeth". More remedies and information regarding your wisdom teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/
