What dental procedure would I require?!

Question: I have two molar teeth with a little 'V' wedge missing, and the teeth are slightly decaying.

They are the exact same tooth on each side, and at the moment, the one on the left is causing some pain.

The one on the right used to cause me pain, until I took a course of antibiotics, which made a small wedge of tooth dislodge itself, as mentioned above.

I no longer have issues with that particular tooth, except when food gets stuck in the gap while eating.

As I said, though, the one on the left is causing quite a bit of pain.

Does anybody know what type of dental procedure I might require?

I really REALLY dislike the thought of going to the dentist, and at the moment I really don't think i'd go past a filling.

Any idea?

Thanks guys.

P.S. If you need more info, just ask.

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like a simple filling. You should really be evaluated by a dentist...and ask for the nitrous if you're nervous!
