I am getting my braces removed...?!

Question: ...in three weeks and am really nervous because my teeth are extremely sensitive. Especially when they use that little sander-type thing. My friend has the same orthodontist, and she said it hurt a lot and that she bled afterwards. Does it really hurt that bad?

when i had my braces off i was super scared cos my friends told me that they had a mouthful of blood . and seeing as i have relly sensitive teeth you can imagine how scared i was .
but apart from a little bit of sensitivity to the sander thing ( not pain but a really weird kind of pressure feeling ) i didnt bleed or have any pain ( maybe slight discomfort ) but i guess it depends on your ortho .
i think the bleeding usually happens when they get the glue off and they put the thing into your gum instead of on your tooth . if your ortho has a steady hand then you are fine and i hope you look good with them off !

I'mma get braces too in 3 weeks. I heard when they take them off it might hurt a little but not super painful though. Good luck.

i dont think so

If you think that's going to hurt then child birth will down right kill you. Lame question

I had braces for a very long time and I don't really think it hurt that bad. I mean it isn't something you'd want to go thru every day, but its definetly not that bad. The only thing I really didn't like is how the pieces of cement got stuck in your mouth, but they let you swish your mouth out with water every so often. I never had any bleeding afterwards either. I'm sure it will go well and your teeth will look beautiful! :)

it may be a little uncomfortable....but it should not hurt. I am an assistant and I also wore braces. When I had them off, I was a little sore the next day, but that was all.

it doesnt hurt at all...its like if you push lightly on your teeth kinda feeling....trust me

I actually just got my braces off about three weeks ago. I went in thinking that it would be a little uncomfortable, but bearable. My teeth are sensitive too, and when they pulled the brackets off, it didn't hurt at all, but when they used the sander it was almost unbearable. Then to top it all off, they rinsed my teeth with the coldest water they could get. I don't ever want to have to go through that again. I'm not trying to scare you, just letting you know what to expect.
