Human teeth are the hardest substance on the planet. Why do they need to be checked every 6 months?
last week. i took myself and my 3 kids for a check up. and we all got stickers for having nice teeth. (even me. i think the denist didnt want me to feel left out!)

It was about 4 years ago - I cracked a tooth on a stone in an eccles-cake and the female dentist I went to wasn't strong enough to take it out. I can't bear the thought anymore

approx. 2 weeks ago.....all was well and only needed a filling replaced that had come out.....appt made for march x
I actually havent seen a dentist per se in years. I am a dental hygiene student. I have my teeth cleaned at the college's public dental clinic here in massachusetts. It is much less expensive than a private dentist because we are students learning. If you want to know where there are dental colleges and dental hygiene clinics in your area visit www.ada.org and look for dental colleges or dental hygiene programs by state. Then call and ask if they have a public dental clinic that you can be a patient at.
Anyone in mass I know for a fact that all the dental hygiene clinics charge 25 dollars OR less for a full mouth professional cleaning.
Yesterday. He showed me that most of my teeth are either infected or abcessed, that I need dental implants, and the price for the Cadillac version of new teeth anchored by implants is $60,000. Ouch!

P.S. I'm only 46, but I've been taking meds for the last 20 years that leave me with "dry mouth." Apparently, dry mouth is devastating to your teeth, esp soft ones like mine.
i went 2 month ago and need to go again tomorrow morning as some drunken idiot punched me and loosened a tooth on friday night
