how will my having RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) be affected I was told I shouldnt have any future surgeries it could set off my sympathetic system into a frenzy
Answers:
No, but I have treated patients with such a problem. It's called an oro-antral fistula and can result from the root of an upper back tooth protruding up into the floor of the maxillary sinus. If the bone of the floor of the sinus or the tissue lining the sinus is removed with the tooth or if u had an infection from the tooth that went into the sinus, an opening between the tooth socket and the sinus can occur. If after 1 1/2 years you still have pain, you need to see a dentist. The dentist may even refer you to an oral surgeon if necessary.
